negragalindez : @playalldaypup it's sad! I have an elder bully, he's going on 13. I could NEVER even imagine giving him up for any reason let alone something as dumb as "having a baby"! I want to start trying to "start a family" (I say it like that because I already have a family but we want 2 legged kids lol) but I would never give my dogs up because of THAT! Older dogs are great! My old man is a pain in my butt sometimes specially now that he's loosing his hearing and just wants to do whatever he wants lol and I get frustrated but then I look at his face and all I can do is smile.

Like the saying in Spanish goes "where one eats, eats two or three or four" you always make accommodations for all to fit in.

negragalindez : @will_miller81 it's hard to stop a dog when they get exited. So if she gets exited when she sees you, let's say when you walk in she's happy to see you and get exited and jumping, instead of saying "hi" to her right away (which will only get her more exited) ignore her (I know, VERY difficult to do specially when they bring you toys and stuff like mine do) but you must ignore the behavior. Wait a good 10 minutes or so until she calms down then say "hi and pet". If she starts jumping just put your knee out (kind of like to block her) and say very stern "no or HEY". You can't ignore the behavior because you need to correct it you know? But like Martha said, make sure she doesn't think it's a game because it will just escalade. until she's calm don't pet or talk sweet to her. It takes patience and repetition. When dealing with dogs & training them (which btw I am not a trainer but it's just what I do with my own dogs) it's an all day every day type of thing you know? You can't just train for 1-2hrs and that's it. Some people take their dogs to training classes and when they get home they let the dog do whatever they want, that will never work and doesn't teach the dog anything. Good luck! ☺

I got Kinze from the Sacramento area from a group called A New Hope animal rescue if I remember. They like helping bully breeds. I can maybe see if I still have the phone number.
