fitdal
naturalsmyles : @fitdal do you have a recipe for that? Will you share?
fitdal : @naturalsmyles it was a bit of a throw-together but I can let you know the approx if you want to experiment yourself! I warmed up a bit of peanutbutter I had left in the bottom of my jar, because it was quite hard, in a small pan. Then I added 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and 1 teaspoon of coconutbutter to the pan and warmed it all up. Then I added water and a few drops of vanilla extract until it got thick and creamy, then I let it cool for a while. While mix is cooling I mixed 2 scoops of Vanilla Brown Rice Protein (40 grams) with approx 60 grams of oats and 2 heaping teaspoons of ground almonds. I poured the peanutbutter/coconut-mixture into the dry protein and oats and mixed then I added water until it got thick (don't want to add to much water, just a little at a time, it will be very sticky). Then I added some more vanilla extract and a few drops of stevia to make it a bit sweeter. Finally I added a little shredded coconut for texture as well as a handfull of cacaonibs. Then I rolled up into 9 balls, 3 rolled in cinnamon, 3 in ground almonds and 3 in unsweetened cacaopowder. Store in the fridge.
ewakonewa : Hey, share the secret ingredients 👅

mysting
mysting : @bettertomorrow this specific recipe is not but you can totally make with lactose free whey or maybe even pea protein? Chia protein?
parentsguide : Chia seeds probably would be the way to go for a child.
mysting : @parentsguide thanks
mysting : @parentsguide thanks! Excellent point- if you are making these for your kiddo--like other things, consult with your pediatrician/child nutritionist. For our 12 year old , we asked and for us, I works. We don't feed them to him every day or use for meal supplementation :) and my 3 and 5 year old--well, they have their own snacks ;)
