melissaorchard : @bleudog & @hofferkb that side of my fence is my neighbor who works crazy hours and is never home. She has a tiny dog who is "house trained" according to her... Which in reality means her dog exclusively uses pee pee pads in the house when it needs to go. She also doesn't have a fence on her side so I know it wasn't her dog out there... But I am mildly concerned about what it COULD have been haha. When I let my beasts out just now they ran right back to that spot but gave up easily so I guess I'll never know ha! 🐾🐾 #weimcultclub

melissaorchard : @faithreimer Having multiple Weims is both awesome AND frustrating all at once haha. In my very biased opinion, they are the greatest dogs ever. Loving, affectionate, obedient, hilarious, sweet, fun and amazing companions.... Butttt... they're also strong-willed, manipulative, stubborn, bed/couch hogs, think everything is theirs and are constantly up your ass (this trait is one that I love AND hate, given the specific circumstance haha) my Blue Boy, Crash is 7 y/o and we've had him since he was 6 wks old. He is VERY obedient, very predictable and has always just been a great dog. I could leave a whole piece of beef in my purse on the floor and he wouldn't touch it because he knows its not "his". Our Gray Girl, Starla is a rescue. We got her at 5 going on 6 years old this past November. She is so sweet, affectionate and loving, but if things are too quiet, you just KNOW she's up to something. 90% of the time they are great together. They play well, romp around, cuddle together etc. but that other 10% is spent fighting over the same toy (despite having hundreds of them) having little spats like who lays or sits closest to me etc. Having 2 is a lot of work. Sometimes completely insane, and requires a lot of energy on your part in addition to CONSTANTLY being on your toes because a bored Weim is a mischievous Weim haha. I don't regret rescuing Starla for one single second OR having 2 gorgeous Weims, but be advised- like being a parent to a child, it NEVER STOPS haha. I do *highly* recommend that if you're truly considering another Weim, that you think about adopting an adult Weim. True, it's frustrating not knowing their past, their medical history and trying to fill in gaps, but its SOOOOO unbelievably rewarding. Not to mention, you don't have to deal with the crazy, jerky puppy phase which is pretty fantastic haha. ❤🐾🐾❤

melissaorchard : @fal_jared Thank you!! ❤🐾 My husband and I have had our blue male, Crash since he was a 6 week old pup-he's now 7 haha. We adopted our gray female, Starla just this passed November from a man who couldn't take care of her any longer-she just turned 6 😊It's amazing- after having Crash be our one and only "child" for almost 7 years, I didn't think it was possible to have any more room in my heart to love another dog (as much as I so badly wanted to adopt another Weim) but the minute we got Starla, my heart swelled to the size of Texas and now I can't imagine not having BOTH of them! It's been such an amazing experience watching them grow to bond and love each other like a brother and sister, romp around in our backyard, cuddle in bed or the couch together... And even occasionally, watch them comically spat over a toy (despite having about 12 billion other toys to choose from haha) I LOVE being owned by (ha!) TWO crazy, rambunctious, Nosey, clingy, lovable, affectionate gray dogs who even on my worst days, instantly bring me so much joy. I HIGHLY recommend getting another... And definitely suggest adopting your next one. It's SO incredibly rewarding to take in a dog who is in such need for love and being able to provide that love and more. I just love them to pieces ❤🐾😍🐾❤
