bsobie : @semperfitness Aimpoint, in the dark i dont like the outter ring on EoTechs... The aimpoints single dot is clear and crisp, any aimpoint would be suitable, battery life on the Micro T-1 is about 5 years on level 8 out of 12 i beleive and this comp M4 has 16 settings, up to setting 12 battery life is 8 years. This allows you to leave it on all the time, who wants to messing around turning your sight on when you hear the glass break, I have both, and theyve both never been turned off

Sounds to me like youd also tell someone who prefers a glock because of no thumb safety lazy to right? perhaps you havent trained to push that button and its not remembered when all hell breaks loose? Granted if your eotech is cowitnessed with your iron sights or wouldn't matter. @novesk_ for my personal home defense I have no optic. Just iron sights and a tac light
americ_ar : Laziness has nothing to do with home protection, and defending your loved ones in a time of need.. being able to grab your weapon and go is of upmost importance.. granted some don't have pressure switches for their lights either, so imagine hitting two buttons. Of course if you have trained to do it, you will do so. So at the end of the day, it comes down to which you prefer, and your hd training.
srt02 : I run an eotech and a surefire. At in home distance I don't have to turn on my eo but I have trained to hit the button while shouldering my rifle. But I also train with eotech off incase of dead battery. I also run flip up sights set to cowitness. Sights are like cars. Test drive before you buy then train
