charliecodyart : No special tricks there, @marcelaghi. I'm pretty sure it's just an optical illusion; once you lay down the darkest tones, all the lighter tones just seem softer by comparison.

bettasonbathsalts : How do you deal with the markers bleeding? I'm using Bristol paper and some random paper in my sketchbooks and she i go to blend the bleed can be horrendous sometimes

charliecodyart : That depends on a lot of things, @bettasonbathsalts. You might be over-saturating the paper with ink, and the paper itself might be too absorbent. I've also noticed that certain colors are way more prone to bleeding than others. If you're using the colorless blender to actually blend colors, DON'T! It's better as an erasing tool than for blending. I also suggest working your colors from lightest to darkest. If you lay a lighter color over a dark one, you can end up with a splotchy mess. I also usually let a base color dry before I lay another color on top of it (for a glazing effect). I'm not sure what kind of bristol you're using, but I use the smooth and vellum finishes without much of a problem. Hope one of these tips helps!
