miawrrr : yay! i'm glad we have the same sentiment about this book and nicci. she was a real badass at first but only because she was brought up the wrong way. but richard changed her and she became one of his most loyal friend. i even secretly wished that richard would fall for her. but of course that would oppose richard's characterization so i understand why he would love kahlan only. hahah.. @rainisfalln

divusladiosa : I'm about half way through. I know, slow of me since I started yesterday but I didn't get a chance to get into it today at all. There are about 11 books in The Renshai universe. Broken up into three sections. Each bleeding into the next section. She's bloody brilliant and actually turned me onto SOT. Writer's block is a bitch. Drives me nuts especially when I'm in a roll. Horrible. Lol I'm currently taking a step back from one of my series to work on another cause I'm totally stumped on the 2nd book.

nameless107 : @divusladiosa I understand what you mean. But with this series i belive it was ment to be read as an audiobook. with this narrator he completes it so well. Far more then what our own minds can bring out. If this series isnt a audiobook it needs to be a tv series... And not the failed attempt they did.. But even though its not really your thing. Id still give it a shot. These characters are so vivid that it needs to be acted out to give them true life. And Nick Sullivan truly does that. Accent and tone for each and every character. No one sounds the same. With the accents of the different lands it truly completes the series. Mind blowing. Give it a shot. Cara for instance is one of my favorite characters with her tone and accent it brings all her sly comments to a new level. After hearing it from another narrator it loses the affect. Which is what the mind does. The audio book series is perfect when read by this guy. Any fan of the series should try it. I guarantee it will bring a new life to it lol
