keh_ohlahg : This is awesome! So can you reason how matter came from nothing? I mean defying the law of conservation of matter? I think that sounds like a reasonable argument... As someone who is curious, how is it that I am here today if non-existent matter exploded within itself to create matter this eventually evolving into the fine specimen that I today?
the_anti_bible : @keh_ohlahg you are assuming that I believe that the Big Bang created the universe...I have been alive for 22 years, it would be unreasonable for me to have any beliefs on how matter came to be. man has existed for only several thousands of years in this universe, if I or any other man, including a scientist, tell you how anything came into existence, smile and walk away, they have been deceived and mean to do the same to you.
keh_ohlahg : Then how can we claim atheism to be tenable? Atheists believe that all matter came through the evolution from the Big Bang theory.
the_anti_bible : @keh_ohlahg you seem to think of atheists as some group that shares the same beliefs, you see...that's called a religion lol you are getting scientists confused with atheists. All that classifies someone as an atheist is not believing in any superstitions, or anything beyond the material realm, that's it. The title atheist was made to label a disbelief, not a set of beliefs.
keh_ohlahg : Oh I'm sorry, did I generalize you? As a religious, I mean uh, Christian... I totally know how that feels. But anyway, that really makes no logical sense to me. Atheists believe in materialistic evidence... I believe the bible, written over thousands of years, and historical evidence and accounts of the existence of Jesus Christ accounts for as much "material evidence" if not more than some theories. And just because a group of people share a similar group of beliefs does not make them a religion. There are other terms for it... If that we're the case, I believe that I like to go surfing every Saturday... So do my friends. We all share the same belief that we should all go surfing at 12 o'clock. Dies that make our belief religious? To me that sounds a little absurd. You see being religious means to have a scrupulous amount of devotion, or faith, to a "ultimate reality." Your ultimate reality is a disbelief in God. So in other words, atheism would be considered a "religion." What dumbfounded me is what DO atheists believe in? If they believe in nothing, the origin of man, etc etc, what makes atheism any less or any more delusional than religion?
the_anti_bible : @keh_ohlahg I still feel like you are not grasping the atheism thing. I am probably much like you, a happy, fun loving, moral person, my priority as a human is to love, to be loved, and to ease the suffering of others. The only thing separating you from me is that of the hundreds of gods man has to chose from, you believe that one of them is real, and I don't believe that any of then are real. It's that simple. So to answer your question, atheist believe in just about everything you do, minus one god. Lol😊👍❤ and atheists are aware that jesus of nazerath existed, it's just the walking on water and necromancing we throw out the window.
