I was reading an article the other day and several scientists admitted to there being a God because our life is so complex that it is impossible for it to survive or "evolve" on its own. There is sin in this world because man chose to disobey God in the beginning and in doing so put sin in this world. But God loves us all so much and he's not forcing anyone to do anything he gave us a choice and whether or not you choose to love Him is your business but if you were to die tomorrow..where would you go? What if you were wrong in this? Would you risk spending am eternity in Hell? Just saying

Evolution is the most basic and simplest process we know. We know how it works, it never stops and is always directed towards adaptation. And if you want to play the whole "I do not know, therefore god"-game then your god is nothing more than an ever reciding field of ignorance. Im am going to skip the free will stuff since it is in direct contradiction against that "god" knows everything before it happens and made it that way in the first place which eliminates the whole concept. And the whole "what if" thing is commonly called Pascals wager. I myself do not see any reason to accept something that is false just because out of fear. This you must accept: there is no evidence what so ever to support your faith. Hey, thats why they call it faith in the first place: beliefe despite lack of evidence or beliefe despite contradictory evidence. So why should I believe? I do not fear death in the slightest, I will welcome in when it comes. Death is the ONLY sure thing in life. And when it comes to what wait after death, neither you nor me knows that. Or any other human being, since those who have died cant tell us. But I am pretty sure that we will go to the place we were before we were born: non existence. This is our one and only life.

The bible is also a fictional book, there are no special prophecies that has been fulfilled in it. We dont even know all the writers, when they where written or even in which language. And yes, faith is not at all about evidence, it is anti-evidence and anti-intellectual. I am too smart and too rational to be tricked by imaginary bullshit. The same reason you dont believe in Odin, Zeus, Venus, Vishnu and all other gods is the same reason that I dont believe in any. Faith is a ridiculous concept and only works for the week minded and the gullible. You should look up "cognitive dissonance". I will think rationally for you and all other who has given up ther mind to a lifetime of slavery befor a imaginary character. Live long and prosper.

Just because the bible is symbolic in some passages doesn't mean it's all a lie. The creation story is in a sense "baby talk" there's no way that primitives could understand evolution biology. People trying to understand God are going to be faulty so the Bible isn't going to perfect because it's men's crude interpretation of God. Also I don't think it's fair to put Christians in the category of ignorant or stupid. They're many intelligent Christians, Muslims, and Atheists there's idiots and smart people in every group

_aimee_n_b_ : I'm not going to "skeptics dictionary" whatever that is and I'm sad for you because I know that God wants to love you and wants love from you and I hurts me to know you will have to suffer being separated from him. When Jesus returns all will praise him whether they like it or not and I know where you are going when you die. I will say that there have been many times when my faith in God was tested but every time God showed me a way through it. I may only be 13 and that's pretty young but I know why I believe and it won't change, ever.
