Here's something you will probably never see or hear in your entire life: Kenny K - Zulu Babee. For those who know, Kenny K was a Tampa FL-based DJ and emcee who was closely tied to Digital Underground. My dad grew up with Kenny and were really good friends. He used to tell me stories about him and Kenny mopping floors at Winn Dixie together. He recorded with DU in my uncle's studio many times (Shock G still records there once in a while). Kenny K died of kidney failure only a few weeks after attending my parents wedding in October of '93. My dad refers to him as the best rapper there was and one of the best men who lived. This album was the only one Kenny released and features a song called "Hair Rap" which was rapped over one of my dad's and uncles' heavy metal songs (Hair Rap spelled backwards is "Pariah" which was the name of my dad's band). Kenny is also reputed to have mentored a young Tupac Shakur in emceeing while he was still with Digital Underground. This is one of the only copies to see the light of day.
